Field Trip - Foothills Wildflower Outing with Becky Cousins

Join Becky Cousins for a full day of low elevation foothills rambling in the Castle River Grazing Cooperative, which is accessed by highway 507 north from Beavermines. The route will follow various rough cattle trails around the lower east and south slopes of Kylo Hill, traversing both open grassland and stands of aspen forest (lots of blowdown!).  Overall elevation gain will be approx. 700 ft. (200 m) and overall distance about 12 km.

As we will be walking over uneven ground and some hillsides, participants must have good mobility. Bring a bag lunch, water, sunscreen, bug repellent and your camera.  If you are a bird watcher, bring your binoculars, too.
