Few inventions have altered society and nature more than electric light. And while we love the benefits of nocturnal lighting, we're abundantly aware of the importance of darkness and the vital role it plays in the health of all living things. Deprived of darkness, pollinators are in decline as never before, as are birds and other species. To mitigate problems, cities and countries around the world have implemented bylaws to control light pollution, and Lethbridge is in line to do likewise.
